テトラメトキシジボランを出発原料とする、テトラハロジボランの合成に関する論文のようです。

まずテトラメトキシジボランと3臭化ホウ素を反応させてテトラブロモジボラン、つまり4臭化ジボランにして、そこからフッ化物と塩化物とヨウ化物に変換でき、塩化物からはフッ化物とヨウ化物に変換できる、ということらしいです。テトラメトキシジボランにも変換できそうです。

ジボラン-ジメチルスルフィド化合物も合成可能(しかもグラムスケール)っぽい。

合成法もですが、精製法も気になるところですね。

有機亜鉛化合物は、有機リチウム化合物や有機マグネシウム化合物よりも反応性に乏しいので、官能基のある有機亜鉛化合物を比較的簡便に取り扱うことができるメリットがあるわけです。

んで、Prof. Knochel、私が大学の学部生の頃(1991年くらい?)には既に有機亜鉛化合物を使う反応を(たくさん?)報告していまして、2017年の時点でも、化学系のトップジャーナルにも論文が出るくらい、コツコツと知見を積み上げているのです。

今回の論文、末端アルキンとTMPZnOPivから亜鉛アセチリド(GAの真ん中の)を作り、これを有機合成に利用したというもの。ちなみにこのアセチリド、空気中でも数時間安定に存在しうるのだとか。

GAの末端アルキンにはエトキシカルボニル基がありますね。こいつがないと亜鉛アセチリドが生成しないのかですが、Supporting Informationを見る限り、単純な脂肪族アセチリド(1-ヘキシン等)でもOKなようです。

GAの右の化合物の合成もそうですが、亜鉛アセチリドがどんな反応に使えるのか、気になります。

アルミナ担持Pdナノ粒子上での、ブロモベンゼンとアニリンの反応について。

均一系のPd触媒下での反応(Buchwald–Hartwig アミノ化)では、ジフェニルアミンと同時に生成する臭化水素を補足するための塩基が必要とl記憶しているのですが、この論文ではどんな塩基を使っているのだろうと思いました。

しかもGAに書いているN-ヘテロ環カルベン、これがあると反応が進行するということらしいですが、このN-ヘテロ環カルベンは確かイミダゾリウム塩と塩基から作るものではと。

ますます塩基のことが気になりました。

Supporting Informationをざっと読んでみると…書いてありました。

t-BuOK (1.5 equiv) … 安心しました。

Buchwald–Hartwig アミノ化にも使われている塩基ですね、確か。

N-ヘテロ環カルベンが塩基として機能してるのではないかと、少し疑いましたよ。よかったよかった。

となると、N-ヘテロ環カルベンは配位子として機能しているのでしょう。その機能が、均一系のPd触媒の場合と同じなのか、異なっているのか、反応機構も含めて気になるところですね。
