ロジウム触媒下でのアルデヒドと臭化ビニル類からのケトン合成について報告しているようです。臭化ビニル類とロジウムから発生するビニルロジウムとアルデヒドが反応してアリルアルコールができたあと、こいつが異性化してケトンとなると、要旨から大まかな反応機構がわかります。異性化と言ってもギ酸カリウムを反応に使っているあたり、アリルアルコールの脱水素でα,β−不飽和ケトンができた後に炭素−炭素二重結合が水素化され流という、形式的なものなのではと想像してしまいますが…。

ところでGraphical abstractに記載の通り、反応に使用するホスフィンの種類によって主生成物が異なってくるようでして、臭化プロペニルの反応の場合、PtBu2Me配位子の場合には臭素原子と結合している炭素原子がアルデヒドのカルボニル炭素と結合する(結果として左側の生成物がメイン)ようですが、PPh3配位子の場合には触媒サイクル中で異性化が起こってアリルロジウム種が云々で、結果として右側の生成物がメインとなるとか。配位力の違いで作り分けができるということのようです。

ただ、Supporting Informationを眺めていると、全ての基質について作り分けができるというわけではなさそう(*)で、できるできないが何に依存しているのか気になります。そのあたりを知りたいので、読みたい論文に追加です。

*Supporting Informationに記載の化合物3iの構造式が間違っているだけかもしれないけど。
