[読みたい論文] アルデヒドとマロン酸モノエステルの脱炭酸縮合

モルホリン触媒下でのアルデヒドとマロン酸モノエステル(論文中ではハーフエステルと書いている)の脱炭酸縮合に関する論文のようです。生成物はα,β-不飽和カルボン酸エステル。「フリー」のマロン酸での検討はしていないっぽい。

反応自体はGraphical Abstractに示されている通りシンプルなのですが、Supporting Informationを読んで行くと酢酸やDMAPが入っていたりで、モルホリンの触媒としての力が若干弱いのかなと言う気もします。何より気になるのが「どう言う経緯でモルホリンを触媒として採用するに至ったのか」と言う点。何か別の反応を期待していたのかなあとか、類似の化合物を色々検討した結果なのかなとか思ったりもしてます。

要旨だけ見ていると、なんでこれがOrg. Lett.にアクセプトされたのかなあと、SynlettやTetrahedron Lett.とかの方がいいんじゃないかなあと思ったのですが、本文中にもっとインパクトがある記述があるかもしれないので、読みたい論文に追加です。
